Workshop: Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Biomateriomics
18.02. - 21.02.2019 Haus Insel Reichenau, Reichenau
Facing the challenges of an aging population, biomaterial research has become more important over the past decades. A broad set of scientific skills is required to process, characterize and apply biocompatible materials. In this workshop, the following topics will be addressed:
Synthesis and processing of (bio)materials and polymers
Biological in-vitro and high-throughput analysis on a cellular level
Handling of complex data and automated image analysis
Current and upcoming applications in clinical contexts
Competences for a successful doctorate and future working life
The workshop is primarily designated for doctoral students and Post-Docs. All participants are requested to present their own research project during a poster session and have the opportunity to win a poster cash prize sponsored by Yokogawa.
Confirmed speakers and further details can be found on the website.
The deadline for registration and poster abstract submission is December 31st, 2018.
This workshop is organized by the doctoral students of the study course “Intelligente Prozess- und Materialentwicklung in der Biomateriomics” at the University of Tübingen and Reutlingen University which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg.
We thank the Institutional Strategy of the University of Tübingen (DFG, ZUK 63) for funding this workshop.
